Duborgsminde is a newly-restored farm area, where we offer bed and breakfast in cozy, green and welcoming surroundings. Duborgsminde is about 10 kilometers away from the oldest town in Denmark, called Ribe, as well as the Jutland Wadden Sea.
Duborgsminde was built in 1875 and originally consisted of four main buildings built around a square yard. From 1945 to 1970 the farm was used for cattle breeding. Originally the farm had 80 acres of land, but when Tove and Knud Jørgensen took over the farm in 1970, most of the land was sold off, and it ceased to be a working farm.
In December 1999 Denmark was struck by a severe storm, during which the farm caught fire, and most of the outbuildings burnt down. Due to this, the farm now has entirely new outbuildings, which contain the bed and breakfast facilities amongst other things.
On this site, you will be able to find information, that can make your holiday experience in the western part of Jutland a little more fun.
At Duborgsminde, we have 4 new, decorated double rooms with TV. There’s a completely new bathroom with toilet on the first floor, as well as a bathroom on the second floor hallway. On the first floor, there’s access to a beautiful and welcoming lounge and kitchen area, where you can enjoy breakfast, among other things. There is also access to free internet. If you have a motorbike, you’ll be able to park it in the garage.
